Anonymous asked: How would you explain the color yellow to a blind person?
Yellow is hot with a pop, like the sound of popcorn popping in a big batch or a fresh leaf of lettuce being broken in half. That type of bold snap that somehow seems to resonate much longer than it really does. It feels like a laugh. Not a little giggle or a chuckle, but one of those hard laughs where you almost have to catch your breath afterwords. It feels like that little pep of energy you get when you spontaneously jump up and down a few times out of nowhere. The color yellow smells tangy but pretty, like the perfume of a freshly bloomed hibiscus flower. Yellow tastes like a friendly but vibrant flavor, such as a refreshing lemonade on a hot day or a lone fresh caramel melting in your mouth. Yellow lights you up. It brings you alive but with a smile and sense of pleasantness.
(I forgot how to spell lettuce and had to spend 10 minutes trying different possibilities until I finally remembered.)
